WHY A TEAM WORKSHOP WILL HELP YOU
In order for a team to be engaged and motivated we need to establish why focusing on people dynamics and team composition is important.
- Increasing social intelligence helps team members establish healthy relations
- Insight helps team members effectively manage their team members and their cross-functional relationships
- Diversity has to be managed to avoid dysfunctional team dynamics
- Optimal team dynamics requires understanding and acceptance of behavioural diversity that is driven by underlying motivational drivers
HOW A TEAM WORKSHOP HELPS YOU
The team workshop provides your team members with insight and tools to actively work with their own strengths and challenges, understand that other team members may be different from themselves and appreciate the differences.
This is the model we operate from when we conduct a workshop to increase the social intelligence in your teams.
UNDERSTANDING YOURSELF
Who am I? What drives me? And what are my behavioural strengths and challenges?
UNDERSTANDING OTHERS
What drives my team members? Where do we differ, and what do we share?
APPRECIATING DIFFERENCES
How do I "meet" my team members to establish the best relation and positive outcome?
ELEMENTS OF A TEAM WORKSHOP
We typically use this model to make the learning process as smooth as possible, yet we always engage in a discussion with clients to make sure the program is tailored to their specific needs.
INSIGHT
The first step includes introducing participants to the applied personality assessment (PI Behavioral Assessment™). We use this part of the workshop to give participants insight into their innate behavioural motivations and drives.
REFLECTION
This part of the workshop allows participants to analyse their own behavioural profiles. Participants are also provided with a personal development chart to highlight strengths and potential challenges.
PRESENTATION
The participants present their profiles, their needs and motivations. We call this the GALLERY WALK and this is a great way for team members to get to know their true motivations.
OVERVIEW
An overview of the team is presented to establish a holistic understanding of the team as a joint unit and not just the individuals in it. We present how the individual team members communicate, take action and their decision-making styles.
TEAM REFLECTION
The participants are asked to work in groups to identify team strengths and potential challenges. They look at similarities and differences in regard to how they communicate, take action, make decisions etc.ACTION PLAN
The final step is to create an action plan. This includes how to 'meet' other team members and how to manage oneself going forward. The insight provided during the workshop (individual and team-wise) allows participants to make the action plan very tangible which in return objectifies achievement of the actions/targets to be accomplished.
